He studied at the University of Rome La Sapienza, where he received his PhD in political economy, and he continued his studies at the Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve and the University of California – Berkeley.
He has carried out research on policies for regional development, innovation and internationalization of companies, publishing in international scientific journals, including the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, the Journal of Urban Economics, Research Policy, Regional Science and Urban Economics. He obtained the national scientific qualification as second level professor in the disciplinary sectors: political economy, economic policy, applied economics, economic statistics.
Member of the Scientific Commission of the REDI Consortium (Reducing Risks of Natural Disasters), of the Steering Committee of the Department of Economic Sciences of the University of Salerno, of the Council of Experts of the Department of Economic Development of the Lazio Region.
He holds lectures for doctoral students on public policy evaluation at the University of Roma Tre and the University of Macerata.
